GN Solids Control has provided many cost effective equipment for the solids control and drill cuttings treat. Today we would like to show you GN decanter centrifuge with the polymer adding equipments, this whole system can be also called dewatering unit because it helps to save water and keep the performance of the drilling fluids.
As we all know, GN Solids Control equipments such as shaker, desander, desilter, decanter centrifuge are used to separate the particles larger than 2~5 microns in the drilling fluids. For the solids that smaller than 2 microns, we need to separate them out with the assistance of polymers and chemicals. If we don’t separate these finer solids, form a long run the characteristics of the drilling fluids will be in an unstable status. The most common way to solve it is adding more water which waste water and also caused more drilling waste.
Now by using GN decanter centrifuge with polymer, we can solve all the above problems. GN dewatering unit is mainly including the following components:


GN Polymer Adding Unit

1. GN Mixing System
This system is used to add powder polymer automatically when this system is added with enough polymer powder and the inside water pressure reach a certain level. Mixing capacity is 2000 l/h. Polymer concentration is around 0.05%~0.5%.
2. GN Coagulant System
The tank here is made of polyurethane; one mud agitator is fixed in the middle. Treating capacity can reach to 1500L.
3. GN Feeding System
There are two feeding systems: one is for feeding polymer flocculants, the other is feeding coagulant. Both of them will be feed into GN decanter centrifuge for further separation.
4. GN 20 Feet Container
All the above equipments are fixed inside. After treated by this dewatering system, all the drilling fluids with mixed polymer and coagulant will be pumped into GN decanter centrifuge, so the particles larger than 2~5 microns can be separated out.
